The biology program at the University of Turin offers one undergraduate three year Degree course (B.Sc. equivalent, in italian "Laurea in Scienze Biologiche"), for a total of 180 ETCS. This can be followed by one of the two year Advanced Degree courses (M.Sc. equivalent, in italian "Lauree Magistrali") for a total of 120 ETCS units each. All the advanced degree courses may be followed by three to four year doctoral programs (Ph.D. equivalent, in italian "Dottorato di ricerca").
Lectures in the undergraduate course are largely held in Italian, although teaching material may be in English. Lectures in the Advanced Degree course "Cell and Molecular Biology" is in English.
Lectures in the other Advanced Degree courses available in the Biology Program ("Environmental Biology" and "Plant Biotechnology") are currently held in Italian, although teaching material is in English.
